The Department of Justice, Division of Operations (OPS) is seeking a well-rounded, friendly individual to fill our Admin Support Technician position.

This position is located in the Office of the Chief. Reporting directly to a Staff Services Manager II, the Admin Support Technician provides general office support to the Administrative Services Branch and acts as a back to the OPS Chief’s Administrative Assistant. The Admin Support Technician must exercise exemplary customer service, a high degree of initiative, independence, and confidentiality in the performance of their duties which includes:

  • Providing in-office support 2-3 times per week to a diverse group of clients and managers;
  • Serving as the Custodian of Records for live scan submissions;
  • Serving as the Check Stock Custodian;
  • Using diplomacy and clear communication to ensure compliance with Departmental training requirements as the Division’s Training Coordinator;
  • Purchasing supplies with a CalCard and completing purchasing documents for the office
  • Daily use of Microsoft Suite products, Smartsheet, and Adobe Acrobat to prepare various reports, documents, and rosters;
  • Scheduling meetings, conference rooms, and proctoring interviews

Working Conditions

Working at 1300 I street a minimum of two to three days a week is required . Work hours are flexible within the core hours of 7 am to 5:30 pm.

You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired.
