The Opportunity
As our Controller, you’ll be the financial backbone of our operations—overseeing all accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and partnering with leadership to guide smart business decisions.
What You’ll Do
Oversee all accounting operations, including job cost accounting, AP/AR, general ledger, payroll, and tax compliance.
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings with precision and efficiency.
Monitor project budgets, cost-to-complete, and variance analyses to support operational decision-making.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and industry-specific regulations.
Partner with project managers and executives to forecast cash flow, track KPIs, and improve profitability.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team.
Implement and refine financial systems, processes, and reporting tools.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role—preferably in homebuilding or real estate development.
Strong knowledge of job cost accounting and WIP reporting.
Proficiency with construction-specific accounting software (e.g., Sage, Builder TREND, Hyphen) and Microsoft Excel.
Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
A proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
