Overview:
The Florida Gaming Control Commission (“Commission”) is a five-member commission. Our mission is to preserve and protect the integrity of gaming activities through fair regulation, licensing, effective criminal investigation, and enforcement.
The Commission regulates legal gambling in the state, including licensed pari-mutuel wagering facilities, cardrooms, and slot machine gaming facilities. In addition, through the Division of Gaming Enforcement, the Commission investigates criminal gambling activity and enforces the state’s criminal gambling laws.
The Division of Gaming Enforcement is a criminal justice agency comprised of sworn law enforcement officers and criminal intelligence analysts handling complex cases involving RICO, money laundering, and illegal gambling throughout the state.

Position Responsibilities :
The Office of General Counsel supports the Commission by providing legal counsel on all matters under the Commission’s jurisdiction and prosecuting noncompliance with Florida’s gambling laws.
As a Deputy Chief Attorney in the litigation unit, you will play a crucial role in all aspects of administrative and civil litigation, including: advising the Commission on a variety of complex legal issues involving permitting, licensure, and compliance with Florida gambling laws; conducting legal research, drafting charging documents and appellate briefs, and engaging in motion practice; representing the Commission in administrative and civil courts; and presenting cases in front of the Commission at scheduled meetings.
This position will operate under the supervision of a Chief Attorney.
