Job Description

IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is looking for an Email Marketing Specialist. As a part of our growing Email Marketing team, you will help elevate our email marketing program and engage our customer and prospective base of administrators, educators, and families at all stages of their lifecycle. You will partner with content and creative teams, marketing managers, and business stakeholders to take emails from concept to delivery. Using email best practices and implementing A/B testing, you will optimize response and conversions while striving to create the best possible user experience. The ideal candidate is creative, proactive, organized, a strong communicator, and passionate about IXL’s mission to impact education. This is a full-time position in our San Mateo, CA headquarters office. The work schedule for this role is Monday-Friday in the office with the option to work from home one day per week. What You'll Be Doing Produce and launch email campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Acoustic Project-manage emails as they move through all steps of the email channel including design reviews, list segmentation, coding, QA, scheduling and reporting Suggest ideas to continuously improve our email marketing programs and processes, including campaign development, email design, production, and more Monitor analytics and produce reports to help the channel measure and optimize results Report results and learnings within the team and to business stakeholders Ensure the success of email execution by conducting thorough QA of all email elements What We're Looking For ~ BA/BS degree required ~1-2 years of email marketing experience, preferably in consumer marketing ~1+ years of experience working within an ESP such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Acoustic ~ A strong understanding of email best practices ~ HTML and SQL knowledge are a plus ~ Exceptional project management skills, ability to multitask and familiarity with Jira or similar ~ Experience with graphic design tools such as Figma, Photoshop, and Canva ~ Excellent problem-solving skills: able to anticipate obstacles and identify opportunities ~ Solid interpersonal skills: You are a team player with effective written and verbal communication skills, and can work cross-functionally with stakeholders ~ You care about the details: You have an eye for design and an instinct for what email content will resonate with consumers, and you take extra steps to ensure that emails are flawless before launching Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000 to $75,000 + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
