Together, we will have the opportunity to push boundaries, challenge assumptions, and bring our ideas to life. On our team, some of our work includes but is not limited to: - Designing, developing, and deploying large-scale multimodal foundation models and compact neural architectures such as transformers. - Collaborating with multi-functional teams of ML researchers, software engineers, and designers to integrate research into production frameworks and drive product innovation. - Developing and implementing novel algorithms and techniques to address complex problems, with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and deployment on distributed backends and devices. - Working closely with product teams throughout the development lifecycle, from concept to launch, to ensure seamless integration of AI-powered features. If you're a motivated and innovative Machine Learning Scientist who is passionate about pushing the boundaries of AI research and engineering, we'd love to hear from you! **Minimum Qualifications** + MS plus 5+ years or PhD in CS/EE/AI or related fields or equivalent experience of applied research and development in AIML or Search technologies and implementing novel algorithms and techniques. + Hands on experience with Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing + Experience in multimodal Generative AI modeling and application development, with a focus on data, evaluation, automation, and deployment on distributed backends and devices. + Proficiency in ML tools/frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, Tensorflow + Ability to adopt or implement established methodologies and apply statistical analysis in problem-solving. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with ML optimization methods for efficient on-device ML + Expertise in working with Large Language Models + Understanding of ML accelerations and architectures + Published and cited research in ACM, NeurIPS, ICCV, NAACL, or other notable professional conferences + Experience with recommendation technologies and search specific criteria **Pay & Benefits** At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
